When your client is an expert in antique manuscripts and books, a standard humidor isn’t going to cut it. With his help, we formulated a plan to create this gem. We chose Wenge for the covers and spine. The open grain of the wood resembled worn leather. An inlay of Paduak was added to the spine and cover. Curly maple was used for the body where the figure looked like page edges. This was a fun project.
