And now for something completely different. I decided to create a modern rocking chair. I found a basic design that fit the bill and allowed me to alter the final product to better suit the recipient. The seat is made out of cherry and curly maple The arm, leg and rocker are constructed as one piece and made out of cherry. I used an oil and wax finish that made the curl pop in both the cherry and maple. It’s ready for a Christmas delivery.
