The challenge was to create a custom display/storage trunk for an animated Christmas Display. The eight musicians are wired consecutively to a control box that has an on/off switch and a cord for an electric outlet. The base of the trunk provides a platform for each figure and a concealed storage area for the wiring and control box. A removeable back panel provides access to the cord and on/off switch.

The top sits on three centering pins and heavy duty latches secure the top to the bottom when stored. The musicians are aligned in three rows and surrounded by artificial snow. A removeable panel, containing the Merry Christmas script in gold glitter paint, is affixed to the back of the base when on display. When not in use it is stored in the cover.

The exterior is decorated with a variety of Christmas themed wooden cutouts. The top has a large “North Pole Toy Company” decal. This special family keepsake will be easy to display and store for years to come.
